Robin Wallace-Crabbe was born in Melbourne and studied art at the Melbourne Technical College.
Since 1960 he has had around 50 exhibitions, including a survey show at the Australian National University in 1980. Another toured Australia’s Regional galleries in 1990 and 1991. He was a Creative arts Fellow at ANU in 1996.
His works are represented in many public collections including, the Australian National Gallery, Art Gallery of Western Australia, Art Gallery of South Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales, National Portrait Gallery, and many regional art galleries and universities.
