Paul Laspagis was born in Greece and arrived in Australia in 1957. Between 1968-71 he studied at the National Gallery School in Victoria under John Brack.
Lapagis held his first individual show at Tolarno Gallery Melbourne in 1975. Since then, he has had over 26 solo shows.
His work is represented in the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, National Gallery of Athens, Heide Museum of Modern Art and several Victorian regional gallery and university collections.
