Kristin Headlam was born in Launceston. She completed a BA at the University of Melbourne in the 1970s and studied painting at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1980-1981. She regularly exhibits at Charles Nodrum Gallery, Melbourne, Bett Gallery, Hobart, Tony Palmer Gallery, Sydney and Heiser Gallery, Brisbane. In 1991 she won the Conrad Jupiters Acquisitive Art Prize and in 2000 the Doug Moran Prize.
Kristin Headlam’s etchings and paintings are included in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, Art Gallery of New South Wales, National Gallery of Victoria, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery and several regional galleries.
