Elisabeth Kruger uses 17th Century Dutch landscape painting as a reference to explore and query the value we place on things. She is an artist with conscience and paints out of concern for the environment and through that our moral condition. In her intricate painting 'Concierge' (caretaker) she asks us to consider whether a jeweled world of man-made riches (including fine landscape paintings) or objects within the natural world to be of most value.
