Christopher Snee studied painting at the City Art Institute, Sydney (1985). He has worked across a range of media and particularly concentrated on conceptual works exploring text during the 1990s. Word, language and concrete poetry works were expressed in both two and three dimensional forms.

In 1995 Snee was commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney to produce a mural for their boardroom and reception area.

Snee regularly exhibits in Australia and overseas, and has been included in numerous group exhibitions including Multiplication: the multiple object in art, Monash University Gallery, Melbourne (1997); Australian Perspecta, Art Gallery of New South Wales (1994); The Black Show, Geelong Art Gallery and touring regional galleries, Victoria and New South Wales (1994); and Pages, Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney (1993).

His work is represented in the collections of the National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, Sydney University, Monash University Museum of Art, the Benalla Regional Gallery, and in Poland at the Artists Museum, Lodz, and Bydgozcz Museum.
